August 2nd, 2003

Hey gang;

Boy I sure hope y'all are doing better than this "crazy guy" here. Whew what a past couple of weeks it's been since I last got to write you. I've held two teleseminars, which one was a wild event that was great, with 7 women marketers and 30+ other women on the call with us.
Details at:
http://www.gals-night-out.com

Talk about trying to stay in line and be politically correct...grin... they kept me in line.

Then I held a teleseminar with Alex Mandossian on Thursday this week, which was about time management, but more about that one in a moment, plus where you can go listen to the one hour event online for free at a new site of mine.

Anyway what has really driven me crazy the most, has been my list and automation service for my autoresponders, lists and newsletters. The "service" has been less than great needless to say. I sent 3 customer support emails to them on July 21st about a problem I was having with sending out emails. Well I've yet to hear back from them on any one of the emails...not a word. Hmmm, go figure, I wonder how long they will stay in business?

If this was the first problem then I wouldn't be so upset, however it seems I have had repeated small problems since I've been with them.

You know I try to be patient, fair minded, a turn the other cheek type person, however I do have my limits. Especially when I'm not getting what I pay for with my hard earned bucks.

Yeah I know you're saying "hard earned bucks?"...yep, believe it or not I actually work for a living at this internet marketing thing. I do choose my hours, work in shorts, work at home and all that other good stuff, but I do work probably more hours than most people work at their full time job. Something like 50-60+ hours a week. Hey it's still great though.

Anyway, if you want to know what company, shoot me an email and I'll let you know, but I'm not going to just announce their name here. Hmmm, maybe I'll actually get some email from you guys this week...grin.. probably not though, since you haven't got any from me either. Fair turn around I guess...grin...

Anyway, let me just say, do your homework and research when choosing whom you do business with, try to get testimonials, and talk with people using the service. Even then try to have a backup plan of action. You never know when you will need it.

Ok, onward I go with the saga and I apologize for the delay in writing.

As you might guess by now I've been busy changing list companies, and of course my lists file formats didn't match for the new system. So now two weeks later and several "all nighters" on the computer including yesterday and now this morning (Saturday) and only having slept 5 1/2 hours since Thursday morning I'M BACCCK...

Needless to say I'm now a very looney, crazy web guy...duhhhh my wife thought I was already a crazy web guy.

Speaking of which, yeah let's get some marketing stuff squeezed in here too.

I just did a phone event with Alex Mandossian which was on time management called "Action Management Secrets That Triple Your Income And Double Your Time Off".

No I'm NOT selling you anything here so read on. I put the event online so you can listen to it by just clicking a button. Just go to my new site I'm working on, and no it's not polished and pretty, but it works...grin.. remember TAKE ACTION, and worry about total perfection later.

So anyway Alex did a great presentation on getting more done, in fact it motivated me so much I've been up ever since working. We had over one hundred callers join us and they loved it. I have received lot's of good feedback from it.

If you know someone that's disorganized then send them there too, it will help them get more organized and productive. Alex is an excellent marketer, speaker and revenue generator and knows his business.

I told you I was going crazy. Now I'm the "Crazy Web Guy".

So let's move on.

Below is an excerpt from a post in a forum that caught my attention, I like the example Jim Mitchell uses:

"You see, the great vast majority of internet marketing opportunities are a lot like fishing lures.... A lot of guys have huge tackle boxes filled with hundreds or thousands of dollars of fancy shinny fishing lures...

Yet, likely as not it's the old timer at the end of the pier with a can of worms, a bucket of minnows, and a 30 year old zebco 303 rod & reel that's catching all the fish!

Ever wonder why?

I'll tell you... All those fancy lures were engineered, developed, manufactured, and marketed with one purpose....

Nope! Not to catch fish! They are intended to catch FISHERMEN! That's right! Fish don't buy tackle.....

Over 90% of all internet marketers and affiliates fail! The few that make it are those that learn the difference between fancy tackle and real bait! Real bait is food that the fish want to eat!!

They figure out that it's all about building relationships and TRUST.

Jim Mitchell "

Jim publishes a weekly newsletter called Opportunity Knocks. It'a a good read and he usually includes some type of free ebook or bonus each week.
